A daycare in Brossard saw a startling turn of events as children were evacuated following an accidental car crash into the building on Friday, according to police reports.
The Longueuil police (SPAL) responded to a 911 call at around 10 a.m. regarding the incident at the daycare located on Boulevard de Rome. Upon arrival, officers observed damaged windows at the site, fortunately without any reported injuries.
Authorities disclosed that the driver, a woman in her 60s, unintentionally pressed on the accelerator, leading the vehicle to collide with the building. The driver was described as being in a state of shock following the mishap.
As a precaution, the children were swiftly evacuated onto a bus while the police ensured the building’s safety and awaited the arrival of parents.
