Two individuals have been arrested and charged following an incident of assault that occurred at Woodbine Beach earlier this week.
Toronto authorities responded to a call on Wednesday night around 10:45 p.m. regarding a stabbing incident at the beach.
According to investigators, Shahabuddin Kabiry, a 20-year-old from Guelph, and a 17-year-old boy engaged in a verbal altercation with a victim which escalated into a physical assault. The victim sustained injuries from an edged weapon and a BB gun and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
After the assault, the suspects fled the scene, but Kabiry was apprehended on Friday and is facing charges that include carrying a concealed weapon and assault.
The 17-year-old teen was also located on Saturday and charged with offenses such as aggravated assault and possession of a dangerous weapon. Due to legal regulations, the youth cannot be publicly named.
