Quebec and Alberta Join Forces to Enhance Public Administration with Artificial Intelligence
Quebec and Alberta have joined hands to revolutionize their public administration systems by incorporating artificial intelligence. In a groundbreaking move, France-Élaine Duranceau, Quebec’s Minister of Cybersecurity and Digital Technology, and Nate Glubish, Alberta’s Minister of Technology and Innovation, unveiled this strategic partnership on Tuesday.
This collaborative agreement, set to unfold over the next five years, signifies a significant milestone as both provinces commit to sharing expertise without any financial transactions. Duranceau emphasized the importance of leveraging the unique strengths of each province to enhance the operational efficiency of the state.
Glubish underlined Alberta’s proactive stance towards artificial intelligence, citing it as a catalyst for driving agility and cost reduction within government operations. Notably, Alberta has emerged as a hub for AI innovation and is at the forefront of Canada’s burgeoning data center industry, as per recent findings from York University.
