A convenience store in Chilliwack had a startling incident this week as a car unexpectedly crashed through its front window, according to the store owner speaking to CityNews.
A video circulating from Padmore’s Quick Shop captured the moment a blue car smashed into the storefront before quickly reversing and fleeing the scene.
Authorities from the RCMP were summoned to the area on Tuesday afternoon in response to the alarming event.
According to police, “Chilliwack RCMP responded to reports of a vehicle colliding with a building on Menzies Avenue at around 2:55 p.m.” Upon arrival, officers noted structural damage consistent with a vehicular impact, although the car involved had already left the scene.
The store proprietor mentioned that the license plate of the car dislodged during the collision.
Fortunately, no injuries have been reported in connection with the incident, and law enforcement is currently conducting an investigation to determine further details.
