The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) is currently looking into a troubling situation that took place at a popular fast-food eatery in the heart of downtown Vancouver.
According to police reports, on August 28, two individuals entered the restaurant located near Nelson and Howe streets, causing a scene by shouting at staff members and causing damage before departing the premises.
Alarming reports suggest that the men also made threats of being armed and having ties to a local gang.
A video capturing the incident has been circulating on social media platforms, garnering a significant amount of attention from the public.
In a statement, Insp. Erin Roulston expressed the gravity of the situation, stating, “We acknowledge the heightened interest from the public regarding this incident. Such behavior is distressing and completely unacceptable, not only to law enforcement but also to the employees and customers of the restaurant.”
Roulston mentioned that investigators are meticulously examining all accessible evidence, including surveillance footage, to ascertain the exact sequence of events and whether legal action should be pursued.
