Police Seek Eyewitnesses in Armed Road Rage Confrontation in New Westminster

New Westminster Police Seek Witnesses and Dash Cam Footage in Alleged Road Rage Incident

The New Westminster Police Department (NWPD) is reaching out to the public for assistance following an alleged road rage incident involving a driver who brandished a weapon.

According to NWPD, the incident took place around 4:15 p.m. on September 2 near the intersection of Sixth Avenue and Eighth Street. A driver contacted the police, reporting that another motorist exited his vehicle and displayed a weapon.

The suspect is described as a man in his 40s, slim build, with a mustache and balding hair, driving a red Dodge Ram.

Sgt. Andrew Leaver emphasized, “Brandishing weapons in traffic is not acceptable,” urging the community to come forward with any dash cam footage that may be relevant to the investigation.

Investigators are specifically looking for individuals who were in the vicinity between 4:10 p.m. and 4:20 p.m. and may have witnessed the incident or captured it on their dash cams.
