Ontario Premier Doug Ford’s Progressive Conservatives and the Opposition New Democrats emerged victorious in provincial byelections that took place recently.
Jeff Beattie, representing the Progressive Conservatives, secured the seat in the riding of Hamilton East–Stoney Creek, while Susan Lahey, another Conservative member, clinched the victory in York-Simcoe.
During a press briefing in Hamilton, Premier Doug Ford expressed his gratitude to all parties and candidates for their efforts in what he described as a challenging campaign. He commended all individuals who stepped forward to participate in the electoral process.
