The Coquitlam RCMP has announced that charges have been officially filed against an Anmore resident, Ryan Kohler, after a thorough investigation that commenced in 2025. On Friday, the BC Prosecution Service gave the green light for one count of fraud over $5,000, one count of theft under $5,000, and one count of theft over $5,000 to be brought against Kohler.
It was revealed that Kohler had previous ties to a parent advisory council at a school in Anmore. The alleged incidents are believed to have taken place between October 2024 and May 2025.
Cpl. John Graham stated, “The culmination of the detailed Coquitlam RCMP investigation into alleged criminal actions resulted in these charges being laid. We recognize that allegations of this nature can be troubling, but we trust in the legal process that is currently in motion.”
Kohler has been released under certain conditions as the case progresses through the legal system.
