Toronto authorities are on the lookout for a man and a woman believed to be involved in a reported robbery incident in Scarborough.
According to investigators, the incident occurred around 11 a.m. on June 26 in the vicinity of Ellesmere Road and Midland Avenue. A man was approached by a woman in a vehicle who asked for directions as they were in a commercial building parking lot. Simultaneously, another man in a separate vehicle also asked for directions after driving into the same area.
The woman then exited her vehicle and placed a gold chain around the man’s neck, while swiftly snatching his own chain from him. Following the theft, both the woman and the male accomplice quickly fled the scene.
Authorities have identified Andreea Ispas, 23, from Toronto as a suspect in the robbery. Described as around five-feet-five with a slender frame and black hair, Ispas was last seen clad in a black dress with white detailing at the hem and white shoes.
The male suspect has not been described at this time.
