Montreal’s Jacques-Cartier Bridge Faces Partial Closure Due to Police Operation
Montreal residents were met with a traffic disruption as the iconic Jacques-Cartier Bridge found itself partially closed in both directions during a police operation on a Saturday morning. The Montreal police (SPVM) swiftly responded, announcing the presence of several officers at the scene and setting up a precautionary perimeter in the surrounding area.
Initially, authorities indicated a complete closure of the bridge with a plea for motorists to steer clear of the vicinity. However, subsequent updates revealed that only one lane in each direction was affected.
