Sunshine Reclaims Montreal: Warmer Weather Breaks Through After Rainy Spell!

Following a damp and cool Friday, a sunny weather pattern is set to dominate the upcoming days, with temperatures on the rise early next week.

Rainfall is expected to dwindle by late Friday afternoon, having deposited between 15 and 25 millimetres of rain, paving the way for a notable shift in weather conditions heading into the weekend.

The mercury will hit a high of 12 degrees Celsius on Friday, but the day will remain unsettled due to brisk winds veering from the southeast to the west. Cloudy skies will persist into the evening before clearing up overnight, with temperatures projected to plummet to 1 degree Celsius, coupled with a frost risk.

Saturday will usher in brighter skies, albeit with a noticeable drop in temperature. Anticipate a high of just 7 degrees Celsius, accompanied by gusty northwest winds reaching 40 km/h, making for a brisk autumn day. The skies will clear up overnight, with temperatures expected to hover around 0 degrees Celsius.

Sunday’s forecast brings a significant improvement, with sunny conditions and a high of 14 degrees Celsius. These pleasant, stable weather conditions are predicted to extend into the following week, providing a welcome reprieve from Friday’s rainy spell.

Monday is set to be the warmest day of the week, with temperatures climbing to 17 degrees Celsius under clear skies. Highs will remain seasonable and comfortable throughout Tuesday and Wednesday, at 16 and 14 degrees Celsius, respectively.

Expect more sunshine on Thursday, with temperatures peaking at 14 degrees Celsius. Overnight lows will gradually rise from 8 degrees Celsius on Sunday night to between 5 and 7 degrees Celsius during the initial half of the week.

After a wet end to the workweek and a chilly kickoff to the weekend, the extended forecast hints at a prolonged period of dry, sunny autumn weather. The imminent concerns include frost risk on Friday night and blustery winds on Saturday, before a return to milder temperatures in the week ahead.
