“Twice Busted: Muscle Car Mania Lands Speed Demon in Hot Water Again, BCHP Confirms”

A man in Vernon, British Columbia, had his muscle car impounded by the BC Highway Patrol (BCHP) for the second time due to excessive speeding.

The 59-year-old driver was caught going 151 km/h in a 100 zone on October 2. This marks his second impound by BCHP for speeding, with the first incident occurring in Falkland back in June 2025.

Sgt. Michael McLaughlin of the BC Highway Patrol emphasized that the driver blamed his Dodge Challenger Hemi R/T for being ‘too fast,’ but reminded him that there are two pedals in a car, not just the accelerator.

The driver now faces hefty fines totaling over $2500 for his repeated speeding offenses. Sgt. McLaughlin highlighted that all drivers, regardless of age, should be mindful of excessive speeding on the roads.
