On Monday, voters in Alberta are casting their ballots for 10 referendum questions, including a crucial one about potential separation. The separation query, labeled as Question 10, occupies the spotlight and will be the first to be tallied and announced. The results for Questions 1 to 9, touching on topics like immigration and constitutional matters, will then follow in a sequential manner.
However, there is a delay in the announcement of the results. Due to unforeseen issues at a polling station in Edmonton, the voting time has been extended until 10 p.m., leading to a postponement in the tallying process and the subsequent release of the results statewide.
Stay tuned as unofficial results from the referendum trickle in.
