Mississauga Man Arrested, Faces Multiple Charges in Sweeping Firearm Probe

Toronto police apprehend a 26-year-old individual from Mississauga linked to a firearm probe. Authorities reveal that the Integrated Gun and Gang Task Force initiated an inquiry into an individual suspected of possessing a firearm.

During a search at a Mississauga residence, officers reportedly discovered a loaded semi-automatic handgun, drugs, a loaded magazine, and a sum of Canadian currency.

The individual, Rahman Karatu, 26, from Mississauga, has been taken into custody and faces the following charges:

Karatu is set to appear in court at the Ontario Court of Justice on Monday, September 1, 2025.
