A shocking series of sexual assaults on Lake Wabukayne Trail in Mississauga has led to the arrest of a young individual.
According to Peel police, the suspect is linked to multiple incidents that occurred between May and August 2025 along the trail, particularly near the tunnel bridge close to Glen Erin Drive, just north of Windwood Drive.
In a disturbing pattern, the youth, who was a stranger to the victims, reportedly targeted them by surprise, grabbing them without warning in each encounter.
Fortunately, the victims did not suffer any physical harm and did not require medical attention.
Following a thorough investigation, authorities apprehended a youth from Mississauga on September 22, charging them with five counts of sexual assault. The individual was subsequently released but is required to appear in court at a later time.
Law enforcement officials are actively working on the case, expressing concern that there could be additional victims and witnesses yet to come forward.
