More than 200 police officers were deployed across Quebec and Ontario early Tuesday morning in a large-scale operation targeting suspects linked to the murder of Jennifer Morin.
Raids were conducted in Montreal, Laval, Longueil, and Casselman, Ontario, as authorities moved in on over a dozen individuals believed to be connected to the case.

Searches are also underway in the greater Montreal area.
This operation is led by the Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ), and several other police forces are participating.
Asked who the targets of this strike were, a spokesperson for the SPVQ simply said that the operation concerned “urban violence.”
Morin, 45, was murdered in her Charlesbourg apartment on Dec. 16.
Officials believe that Morin had been the victim of a mistaken identity which lead to her murder.
As the operation was still ongoing early in the day, police were tight-lipped about details.
A full report on the operation is expected later Tuesday.
