Authorities in Quebec are investigating a possible link between a burnt-out vehicle discovered in a Montreal parking lot and a fatal shooting that took place at a Starbucks in the north of the city. The shooting incident, which occurred at a commercial plaza in Laval, resulted in one fatality and two injuries and is being treated as a suspected organized crime-related crime.
Following the shooting, a report of a burning vehicle in the Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles borough led emergency responders to the scene. Firefighters extinguished the flames and alerted the police after finding evidence of accelerants at the site. The vehicle has since been removed for further forensic examination.
Quebec provincial police are spearheading the investigation into the shooting but have not yet made any arrests in connection with the case.
