Tim Hortons Hikes Coffee Prices After Three-Year Freeze

Tim Hortons has announced an increase in the price of its coffee, the first hike in nearly three years. The popular coffee chain attributes this change to the rising cost of coffee beans driven by inflation, stating the adjustment is reasonable. On average, customers can expect a 1.5% increase per cup, with the current increase amounting to around 3 cents per cup.

Statistics Canada’s data reveals a significant surge of 27.9% in the price of coffee at grocery stores in August 2025 compared to the previous year. The report highlights Canada’s reliance on coffee imports from countries like Colombia, Brazil, and Honduras, as well as the impact of tariffs on imports from the U.S.
