West Vancouver Police Seek Public Help to Identify Suspect in Violent Road Rage Incident
West Vancouver authorities are reaching out to the community for assistance in identifying a man involved in a recent violent road rage incident.
The altercation occurred on Friday, October 10, at approximately 5 p.m. following a minor collision at the intersection of Taylor Way and Marine Drive. A 74-year-old woman, driving a 2010 Honda CR-V, claims that the driver of a grey Chevy Silverado truck collided with her vehicle while changing lanes.
According to reports, both individuals exited their vehicles, leading to a heated confrontation. The male driver of the pickup truck allegedly yelled at the woman, forcibly took her cell phone, and held it above his head, questioning her if she wanted it back. Subsequently, he threw the phone into traffic before driving away from the scene.
The West Vancouver Police Department is urging any witnesses, individuals with dashcam footage, or those possessing relevant information to come forward. They also encourage the driver involved to reach out to investigators by calling 604-925-7300 and referencing file number 25-10663.
The suspect is described as a man in his mid-50s, standing at 6 feet tall with a medium build, grey hair, and a short grey beard. His vehicle, a model from the 2000s, reportedly has damage on the passenger side.
