Prepare for Traffic Disruptions: Highway 25 Closure This Weekend
Get ready for some road closures this weekend as the Ministry of Transport announces the complete closure of Highway 25 towards South Shore. The closure is necessary for the installation of a new concrete guardrail near the Souligny interchange structures.
The closure will take place from 11:00 p.m. on Friday, September 12, to 8 a.m. on Saturday, September 13, and then again from 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 13, to 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 14. The Louis-Hyppolyte-La Fontaine tunnel will remain open during this time, accessible from Souligny Ave. eastbound.
Please note that the entrance from Sherbrooke St. will be closed half an hour before the full closure of the highway, and the access ramp from des Futailles St. to Highway 25 in the southbound direction will also be closed from 12:30 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 13.
Additionally, the access ramp from Sherbrooke St. E. to De Boucherville St. northbound will be completely closed from 10 p.m. on Friday, September 12, to 8 a.m. on Saturday, September 13. Northbound traffic on De Boucherville St. will also be closed between Tellier and Hochelaga Sts. from 9 p.m. on Thursday, September 11, to 5 a.m. on Friday, September 12.
