A man, Mark Kunji Ikeda, aged 38 and from Toronto, has been arrested and charged in connection with an online child luring investigation. Peel Regional Police (PRP) initiated the investigation in June 2025 after discovering an individual using social media platforms to lure minors under 16 for illicit purposes.
PRP identified the suspect as Mark Kunji Ikeda through their investigative efforts. The authorities allege that Ikeda used various online personas to carry out his activities.
Mark Kunji Ikeda was apprehended on Thursday and is currently in custody awaiting a bail hearing. He faces charges of luring a child under 16 and obstructing a police officer, totaling five counts.
PRP suspects that there may be more victims who were contacted by Ikeda online. They urge anyone with information to come forward and assist in the investigation.
