Montreal Gears Up for Bone-Chilling Cold Snap!

Montreal is bracing for a stretch of frigid temperatures in the coming days before a brief respite of warmer weather arrives towards the end of next week.

Today’s forecast predicts mainly cloudy skies with a brisk west wind reaching 30 km/h, gusting up to 50 km/h. The temperature will hover around minus -5 degrees Celsius, but with the wind chill, it will feel more like minus -20 degrees Celsius in the morning and around minus -12 degrees Celsius in the afternoon.

As the night sets in, expect partly cloudy conditions with diminishing west winds dropping to 20 km/h, gusting to 40 km/h by midnight. The mercury will dip to around minus -9 degrees Celsius, with a wind chill making it feel like around minus -14 degrees Celsius.

Heading into Saturday, the day will bring more clouds and light snow in the morning, accompanied by winds up to 15 km/h. The daytime high will be around minus -2 degrees Celsius, with wind chills making it feel like minus -12 degrees Celsius in the morning and around minus -7 degrees Celsius in the afternoon. Saturday night will continue with cloudy periods, and the temperature will drop to around minus -7 degrees Celsius.

Sunday will see a mix of sun and cloud with a high of around minus -5 degrees Celsius. The evening will bring more cloudy periods with the temperature plummeting to about minus -12 degrees Celsius.

Come Monday, expect increasing cloud cover with a high of around minus -8 degrees Celsius, followed by a cloudy night with temperatures remaining around minus -8 degrees Celsius.
