During an ongoing inquest regarding the tragic 2023 deaths of a family in Prince Rupert, B.C., a police officer revealed a chilling detail. RCMP Const. Jason Kettle testified that the father, Christopher Duong, had feared he was a target of a potential “hit.”
The family, including Christopher Duong, Janet Nguyen, and their two young sons aged two and four, tragically lost their lives in the incident.
Notably, a 2015 civil claim filed by B.C.’s director of civil forfeiture painted Duong as a “violent gang member and drug trafficker,” highlighting his well-known criminal history involving weapons offenses.
