Two individuals, a man aged 56 and a woman aged 54, were tragically discovered deceased in Brossard, located on Montreal’s South Shore, during the night. Authorities have commenced a homicide inquiry following the incident. The Longueuil Police (SPAL) responded to a call about an armed assault on Bienvenue Ave at around 12:45 a.m. on Monday.
Upon reaching the location, law enforcement officers found the bodies of the two victims bearing signs of violence. Constable Jacqueline Pierre, the spokesperson for SPAL, confirmed the deaths of the man and woman at the scene. A secured area and a command post were promptly established.
Limited information about the events leading to the tragedy was available initially. The SPAL’s Major Crimes Division will take charge of the investigation, with investigators and forensic specialists present at the scene on Monday.
