Toronto Police Crack Down on Hate: Multiple Charges Filed Over Racist Online Death Threats

A 21-year-old woman from Oshawa has been arrested and charged following a lengthy investigation into a series of online threats directed at a Toronto resident, which police believe were motivated by hate.

Over the course of several months from August 9 to December 30, 2025, the accused reportedly sent numerous threatening messages, including death threats and anti-Black slurs, to the victim. Law enforcement authorities were able to identify the suspect during their probe, leading to a search and arrest at a residence in Oshawa on January 30, 2026.

Adelaide Theodora Nunno, the 21-year-old from Oshawa, faces charges of criminal harassment and nine counts of uttering threats. Additionally, Nunno had an outstanding warrant from 14 Division, resulting in further charges of criminal harassment and uttering threats related to that warrant.

Scheduled to appear in court on January 31 at 10 a.m., Nunno’s case highlights the serious consequences of online threats and hate-motivated behavior. Police urge anyone with relevant information to come forward and aid in the investigation.
