A driver in his 20s was killed early Saturday morning after crashing into a rock in Huntingdon, Montérégie.
The accident occurred shortly after midnight near the intersection of Ridge Road and Bouchette Street, said Élizabeth Marquis, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
For reasons that are still unknown, the man lost control of his vehicle and reportedly veered out of his lane before striking a rock located at the edge of the road.
He was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
An investigator and a police officer trained in collision investigation arrived at the scene to try to shed light on the causes and circumstances of the incident.
