Several people were injured just before midnight Friday in Brossard after a collision caused by an impaired driver.
Police say the crash happened around 11:45 p.m. at the intersection of Bienvenue Avenue and Milan Boulevard, involving two vehicles.
The suspect, a man in his 20s, allegedly fled the scene but was later arrested.
Some occupants of his vehicle also ran on foot before being located by police.
The occupant of the second vehicle was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police have not confirmed the total number of people hurt.
Milan Boulevard was closed for several hours during the police intervention but has since reopened.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
