A pregnant woman who fainted aboard a REM train Tuesday morning had to wait for help after the emergency button in her rail car failed to work.
The incident happened around 8:30 a.m. near Central Station. According to a video circulating on social media, passengers attempted to press the train’s emergency button to alert authorities, but received no response.
With no immediate assistance from the system, one passenger called 911, allowing paramedics to be dispatched to the scene.
The woman was then taken care of by emergency responders. Her condition has not been publicly disclosed.
