A group of hooded youths was arrested Sunday afternoon after allegedly breaking into a fast-food restaurant in Longueuil and intimidating customers.
Police say they were called around 4:15 p.m. to a McDonald’s on Cousineau Blvd. following reports of several young individuals causing a disturbance inside the establishment. By the time officers arrived, the suspects had already fled the scene.
Authorities quickly located and apprehended the group. In total, eight minors were arrested. Six of them face potential charges including intimidation, wearing a disguise with intent, and possession of weapons.
According to police, officers seized an air pistol, a machete and a knife during the arrests. No injuries were reported.
The investigation remains ongoing.
