A 52-year-old man died after being struck by a car in the Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grace borough early Sunday morning.
Montreal police (SPVM) received a 911 call shortly around 12:50 a.m. about a fatal hit-and-run on Goyer Street near Darlington Street.
According to initial witnesses, the car was travelling east on Goyer Street when the driver allegedly struck the man crossing the street, SPVM spokesperson Manuel Couture said.
“The driver reportedly did not stop and fled the scene,” Couture added.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene by Urgences-Santé.
The driver has yet to be located.
The investigation is ongoing.
