On Saturday night, just after 9 p.m., Surrey Police Service (SPS) responded to reports of shots fired.
The incident took place between two vehicles near the on 105 Avenue near University Drive.
When SPS officers arrived on scene, they found several spent shell casings.
The cars are described as a black sedan and a white sedan that sped away from the scene.
The white car was described as possibly having damage to its driver’s side windshield.
SPS did not locate either car and there has been no reports of injuries.
SPS’s Major Crime Section has taken over the investigation.
Detectives and members of the Integrated Forensic Identification Services may be in the area investigating today.
The reason for the incident is currently unknown. SPS is asking for anyone with dashcam footage or information to contact non-emergency line at 604-599-0502 and quote file number 26-39710.
