Residents in Montreal’s Saint-Léonard will soon have a new option, once again, for movie nights ahead of summer releases.
Ciné Starz Cinemas announced that will open a new movie theatre in the neighbourhood on May 1.
CinéStarz Deluxe Lacordaire is set to open at the former Guzzo cinema hall located at 5940 Boulevard des Grandes-Prairies. Cine Starz acquired Guzzo cinemas last year.
In a press release, Bruce Gurberg, CEO of Ciné Starz, said “More than ever, cinemas remain a central cultural hub.”
“It is Ciné Starz’s mission to not only provide a place for communities to go see movies, but to make it a one-of-a-kind Deluxe experience, all while still remaining affordable.”

The movie theatre will feature an exclusive pre-show Out There at the Movies, hosted by Italian-Canadian celebrity Melissa DiMarco.
The new location is the fourth acquisition in the last year for the company, which operates cinemas across Quebec and Ontario.
