Montreal police (SPVM) are investigating after gunshots were fired at a residence overnight in the Ahuntsic-Cartierville borough.
According to the SPVM, multiple 911 calls were received around 3:40 a.m. Monday reporting gunfire on Bois-de-Boulogne Ave., near Henri-Bourassa Blvd. West.
When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered bullet impacts on a residential building as well as a parked vehicle. Authorities also recovered several shell casings from the roadway.
A security perimeter was quickly established to allow investigators and forensic identification technicians to examine the scene and determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
The SPVM’s canine unit was deployed to assist in the search for additional evidence.
Police confirmed that no one inside the residence was injured. As of now, no arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
