Gallagher opens the scoring in Game 5 for the Canadiens

The Montreal Canadiens and Tampa Bay Lightning are both looking to take the series lead in Game 5 tonight.

The Canadiens gave up a two goal lead at home in Game 4, as Brandon Hagel scored two goals as part of the Lightning’s come-from-behind victory.

As the series heads back to Florida, Montreal will be looking to repeat their efforts in Games 1 and 3, taking the series lead with victories in each of those games.

In his return to the lineup for the first time since April 14, Brendan Gallagher scored the opening goal of the game for the Canadiens. The goal would come off a neutral zone turnover, where Gallagher scooped up the loose puck, broke into the Tampa zone, fired a shot wide of the net, picked up his own rebound, and scored.
