30-year-old man stable after being stabbed in Montreal’s Ahuntsic-Cartierville

A 30-year-old man is in stable condition after he was stabbed in a brawl in Montreal’s Ahunstic-Cartierville borough Tuesday night.

Montreal police (SPVM) received a 911 call around 9:30 p.m. about a man lying on the street near Saint-Germain Boulevard and De Salaberry Street.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers found the man with injuries to his upper body. He was taken to hospital in critical condition. As of 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, police say doctors do not fear for his life.

“According to initial information, an altercation broke out between several people and the victim was probably injured at this time,” SPVM spokesperson Johanie Charland said.

No arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
