Peel Regional Police say a months‑long investigation has led to the arrest of a 35‑year‑old Midland, Ont., man accused of using multiple fake online identities to lure youths for sexual purposes.
According to investigators, the case began in February, when officers identified an unknown individual allegedly using several social media platforms to contact youths under the age of 16. Police say the suspect used multiple aliases to conceal his identity and target potential victims.
Officers identified the suspect as Stanley Marion, who they allege operated several online personas, including “Maverick,” “Yxaikir,” “Ace.wilde,” “AceryZero,” and “MaveryZero.”
Marion was arrested on March 16 and is now facing charges, including two counts of luring a child under 16 and one count of luring a child under 18.
Police say the investigation remains active, and investigators believe additional victims may have been contacted online. Officers are urging anyone who may have interacted with these usernames — or who has information about the case — to come forward.
