Abbotsford police investigate two street robberies

On April 14, Abbotsford Police Department (AbbyPD) officers started an investigation into a street robbery that took place near the intersection of Maclure Road and Trethewey Street at about 2:40 p.m.

Another similar street robbery took place on April 30 along Discovery Trail near Abbotsford Exhibition Park at about 8:10 p.m.

Both incidents had a lone male suspect involved who produced a firearm and demanded the victims’ jewelry.

He is described as being 17-20 years of age and approximately 5’9” with a slim build.

Both victims were unharmed but shaken by the incidents.

AbbyPD’s Major Crime Unit has taken over the investigation and released an image of the suspect’s vehicle.

The car is believed to be a 2020 Toyota Camry, possibly an SE model, with an “N” sign displayed on the rear.

Anyone with information on the suspect or suspect vehicle is asked to contact AbbyPD.
