Hours before puck drop, Canadiens fans filled the streets surrounding the Bell Centre Tuesday night, creating another electric playoff atmosphere as Montreal looked to move within one win of advancing to the Eastern Conference final.
Supporters dressed in bleu-blanc-rouge packed Avenue des Canadiens-de-Montréal and Canadiens Plaza, waving flags, chanting and gathering around giant outdoor screens ahead of Game 4 against the Buffalo Sabres.
Montreal Mayor Soraya Martinez Ferrada was also spotted among the crowd, taking in the playoff excitement.
With the Canadiens carrying a 2-1 series lead into Tuesday night, the energy downtown reflected a city fully embracing playoff hockey once again.
