Police investigating targeted shooting in Langley

The RCMP says it is investigating after what it is saying was a targeted shooting in Langley.

Officers were called to Brydon Crescent near 54th Avenue around 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

When they arrived, they found the victim and evidence of a shooting.

A 27-year-old man was taken to hospital for further assessment.

“The investigation is still in its early stages, and police are working to determine the possible motive for the shooting,” said Sgt. Zynal Sharoom.

“At this time, the incident appears to be targeted, and there is no ongoing risk to the public.”

Anyone with information or dash cam footage from the area between 12:15 p.m. and 12:45 p.m. is asked to contact the Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200 and refer to file 2026-14997.
