On Saturday, a group of hikers got stuck on Mount Brunswick trail and had to be rescued by Lions’ Bay Search and Rescue (LBSAR).
Due to steep, snowy, and slippery conditions, the group could not make their way back down the trail.
An LBSAR team was dropped by helicopter and hiked to the stranded hikers.
Due to the time of day, temperature and the cloud line, North Shore Rescue was called in to do a hoist extraction.

All hikers were hoisted out of the trail and taken down to Lions Bay.
LBSAR wants the public to remember that Mount Brunswick is still under winter conditions, and proper footwear and winter mountain gear are still needed for this trail.
