Single‑vehicle crash sparks fire near Rogers Centre

Toronto emergency crews responded to a single‑vehicle crash near Rees Street and Lake Shore Boulevard West after a car struck a guardrail and briefly caught fire late Thursday morning.

Paramedics say the collision happened around 9:25 a.m., and EMS crews remain on scene near Bremner Boulevard. It’s unclear if there were any injuries in the crash.

Early indications suggest the vehicle hit a guardrail with significant force, triggering a small fire that has since been extinguished.

The cause of the crash has not yet been determined.
