On May 12, the union said its nearly 55,000 members are prepared to take job action if necessary.
At that time, BCNU President Adriane Gear said it was the first time in 25 years that nurses across the province have voted to authorize job action, saying a historic 98.2 per cent ‘yes’ vote delivered a “mandate for change.”
More to come.
