Partial lane closures along Viger and Saint-Urbain for tunnel work

Transport Quebec says partial closures will be in place along Viger Avenue West and Saint-Urbain Street from May 24 to June 6.

The partial closures will be in place to allow for the rehabilitation of the Saint-Urbain Street overpass, over Route 136.

Starting at 10 p.m. on May 24, one lane will remain open on Viger Avenue West between Saint-Laurent Boulevard and Côté Street. This will last until 5 a.m. on June 6.

During that same time frame, one lane will remain open on Saint-Urbain Street between De la Gauchetière Street West and Viger Avenue West.

While this is happening, trucks will be prohibited between René-Lévesque Boulevard West and Viger Avenue West. Detours will be in place from René-Lévesque Boulevard West to Viger Avenue.

Transport Quebec says that work may be postponed due to poor weather conditions or operational constraints, and they are advising motorists to check Québec 511 before hitting the road.
