Nanaimo Mounties investigate shots fired on Wednesday

At about 8:40 p.m., on Wednesday evening, Nanaimo RCMP were called reports of shots fired in Knowles Park, near the intersection of Old Victoria Road and Ranier Street.

When police arrived, they confirmed that shots had been fired and the suspect vehicle was described as a white Audi.

The Audi had several occupants and fled immediately.

There were no injuries reported.

Police believe shooting was targeted.

RCMP are actively pursuing leads which includes locating the suspect vehicle.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area from 8:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on June 3, or who may have dash camera or CCTV footage, to contact the Nanaimo RCMP.

This includes anyone who may have seen a white Audi travelling in the area around the time of the incident.
