Montreal police (SPVM) are asking for the public’s help in locating a 66-year-old sex offender who is unlawfully at large.
Correctional Service Canada (CSC) has requested assistance from the SPVM in locating Christopher Watts after they say he violated conditions related to his supervision.
The SPVM’s Sex Offender Surveillance Team (ESDS) has been tasked with assisting CSC in its investigation and is appealing to the public for information that could help locate him.
Police said Watts was in the Montreal area when he violated the conditions of his release. Investigators believe he may still be in Quebec or elsewhere in Canada.
Watts is described as 6 feet 1 inches tall tall, weighing 160 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
At the time of the reported breach, he was wearing a black hat, prescription glasses, a dark short-sleeved shirt, grey pants and dark-coloured shoes.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact 911 or visit their local police station.
Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Info-Crime Montréal by phone at 514-393-1133 or online.
Police noted that rewards of up to $5,000 may be available for information leading to the arrest of suspects, subject to certain conditions.
