A man was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a stabbing near Montreal’s Atwater Market late Monday night.
Montreal police (SPVM) responded to a 911 call at approximately 11 p.m. reporting an assault on Atwater Avenue near Notre-Dame Street.
Upon arrival, officers located the victim suffering from serious upper-body injuries believed to have been caused by a sharp object.
“The victim was transported to hospital with serious injuries, but his life is not considered to be in danger,” said SPVM spokesperson Florence Stafford.
Police established a security perimeter around the scene while investigators examined the area and gathered evidence.
No arrests have been made in connection with the incident, and the investigation remains ongoing.
