Mission Mounties arrest 3 over drug-delivery website selling to youth

The Mission RCMP says it has arrested three people in connection with a website that was reportedly providing illicit drug delivery to youth.

Earlier this year, police say they received a report from a 16-year-old and their parent that the teen had bought a quantity of psilocybin — commonly known as magic mushrooms — and cannabis from a website that offered same-day delivery in Mission.

Weeks later, another parent reported their teen had purchased psilocybin gummies and cannabis from the same website.

The RCMP says it started investigating the business, resulting in search warrants being issued for two Abbotsford properties — one located on Spencer Street, the other on King Road — in May.

On May 20, officers searched the properties and seized numerous drugs, including psilocybin and marijuana. They also seized over 1,000 vapes.

Police say they then arrested three people: two men, aged 49 and 34, and one woman, 42.

All three suspects have been released while police investigate.

The Mission RCMP says that the fact the business was allegedly selling to youth made this case a priority.
