Wellington County OPP have a man in custody after two homeowners were assaulted Tuesday night in Puslinch.
It happened around 8:15 p.m. According to police, a window was smashed, and the suspect entered the home, assaulted the homeowners and fled before police arrived.
The victims did not report injures.
An investigation was launched with assistance from Wellington County OPP Uniform Patrol, OPP West-Region Emergency Response Team, OPP West-Region Canine Unit and Waterloo Regional Police.
The suspect was arrested nearby, in the Gore Road area of Puslinch Township.

Police did not describe the weapon involved, saying that information is evidentiary in nature.
