A wildfire was reported in the Cougar Mountain area early Wednesday evening.
At 7:15 p.m., it was marked as being 6.5 hectares and ‘out of control.’
The cause of the fire is believed to be lightning, which the province is seeing spark several wildfires.
There are no area restrictions as of yet, but the fire is being monitored.
