Montreal police say a 27-year-old man was taken to the hospital after being stabbed Friday evening in the Ville-Marie Borough.
Around 6 p.m. on June 26, officers responded to reports that a man had been injured with a sharp object near Sherbrooke and Berri streets.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found the 27-year-old conscious, but suffering from an upper body injury. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Through the initial stages of the investigation, police spoke to witnesses at the scene, and they were able to locate a man who was believed to be connected to the incident.
The 64-year-old was taken into custody; however, SPVM says no charges have been laid at this point, and the investigation is still ongoing.
